EPIC5 Classic
FIVE 140.6 distance triathlons, 5 Hawaiian Islands, 5 days
May 1-6, 2028
140.6 miles × 5 days = 703 miles of relentless endurance
EPIC5 Classic is the original five-island iron-distance challenge — a five-day, multi-stage triathlon across Hawai‘i that has redefined what’s possible in ultra-endurance sport.
Across five consecutive days, you’ll complete five full 140.6-mile triathlons — one per day — across five Hawaiian islands. Each morning demands that you begin again. Each finish line asks more of you than the last.
This is not a single race multiplied by five.
It is a cumulative test of preparation, durability, and identity.
Recovery windows are short. Conditions vary island to island. Fatigue compounds. By Day 3, most athletes understand that fitness alone is not enough.
EPIC5 Classic was built for experienced ultra-distance athletes — those who have finished iron- and ultra-distance events, multi-day races, or advanced-level endurance races — and who are ready to take on something rare.
While professionally supported and meticulously executed, this event is intentionally designed to be earned.
EPIC5 Classic delivers what makes the original challenge legendary:
• Five iron-distance triathlons across five islands
• Raw, real-world racing conditions
• A tight, experienced athlete field
• A deeply personal and transformative endurance experience
This is not about survival.
It’s about showing up again tomorrow.
Five days. Five islands. Five full-distance triathlon finishes.

What other expenses are typical?
In addition to your entry and program fees, there are several variable expenses that athletes should plan for. These costs can differ significantly based on factors such as the number of crew members you bring, your travel origin, booking timelines, lodging preferences, and personal spending choices. While every athlete’s experience is unique, the following are the most common additional expenses associated with race week:
Travel to and from Hawaii for the athlete and any accompanying crew
Airline baggage and bike transport fees, including bike boxes or oversized luggage
Lodging, with a range of recommended accommodations available—some offering group or event-related rates
Meals and nutrition for the athlete and crew throughout the week
Rental vehicles and local transportation, with guidance and partner discounts provided when available
Crew support packages ($1450 USD per person—subject to change), which includes inter-island travel, event apparel, social gatherings, pre- and post-race meals, and on-course support amenities
Optional commemorative items, such as professionally produced photo books or keepsakes
We aim to provide clear guidance, trusted recommendations, and access to preferred partners to help you plan efficiently—while allowing you the flexibility to tailor the experience to your personal style and budget.
